i have decided most of problems are not with the blogger service it self but the software i am using. it all started as soon as i upgraded to the 4.0 version. i never had problems with the 3.03 version. so i will probably be uninstalling it and going back to the last version until the 4.x series matures some.

it's working fine now. i think it actually had to do with the fact i had ie set to offline mode because soon as i enabled it, it started working fine. this is after i uninstalled 4.0 and put 3.03 on and then uninstalled that and reinstalled 4.0. oh well it works.
