Hiccup

I was reading one of my daily page-a-day calendar emails and came across this statement. Now real quick the point of the email is to decide if it is fact or crap. when you click on the link for the answer it will tell you if it is fact or crap. And of course give an explanation. Ok so on to the question:
"A man named Charles Osborne came down with a case of the hiccups that lasted 68 years."

Now fact or crap?

Well the answer is......fact!
"Twenty-eight-year-old pig farmer Charles Osborne of Athon, Iowa, was in the process of weighing a hog for slaughter in 1922 when he was beset with hiccups that didn’t stop for 68 years. Despite hiccupping 40 times per minute in the early years (the frequency eventually slowed to 20 times per minute), Osborne married and had two children. The only discomfort he complained of was that it was hard to keep his false teeth from falling out. His hiccups finally stopped in 1990, but Osborne died within a year. He had hiccupped an estimated 430 million times."

I'm just thinking wow! That had to suck. I know usually they are not painful but that just had to be annoying. Their annoying enough when your not doing anything important, etc., but when your trying to eat, drink, etc. That just really had to suck.
